Haute Hair: Flip Rihanna's 'Do Two Ways

Check out these tips to re-create the singer's magnificent mane.

Rihanna is a prime example of how to rock one look two ways. Since swapping her crimson mane for multi-hued brown curls, the star has given us a plethora of fun looks to steal.
Photos of Rihanna acting as a guest judge on Simon Cowell’s X-Factor reveal the star rocking lots of body in a mid-length ‘do with tons of layers stopping just below the eye line. To steal the style, add pieces as necessary to create thick side bangs with loopy curls. Manipulate your curling iron to curl ends in a big circle that doesn’t curl all the way around. Keep it a little messy.
For her “We Found Love” video shoot, the singer kept her tresses long with a few short blond-highlighted waves in the front.
A simple bandana head tie is one of Rihanna’s favorite accessories, and she’s worn a variety of colors since 2009. Most recently in her video shoot and on a fun casual day, the singer loosely tied the accessory around a tousled ponytail. The key to keeping the look funky is to make the width of the headband small or roll the bandana first, then tie it around your ‘do. Slick and sleek styles will not complement this look, because it’s all about having great bed head.
Rihanna knows a thing or two about that.
