Why Won't Trump Shut Up About Obama?

Donald Trump says he has bombshell info about President Obama and the first lady that he thinks will change the course of the presidential campaign.

It's a miracle that Donald Trump hasn't pulled out what's left of his hair in frustration over not being the center of attention. The business mogul with a birther streak was noticeably absent from the Republican National Convention in August and now he's promising to drop a bombshell that he hopes will be the October surprise that will derail President Obama's re-election bid.
"Everybody is asking about my announcement this Wednesday concerning Barack Obama---just wait and see!" he tweeted Tuesday evening.
So, what is it this time?
Paddy Power, which claims to be Europe's largest betting company, is reporting 2:5 odds that Trump will say Obama isn't an American and 8:1 odds that he plans to endorse the president.

But Florida-based investor and financial commentator Donald Kass, as reported to the U.K.'s The Daily Mailsuspects it has to do with the president's 20-year marriage.
"High above the Alps my Gnome has heard that Donald Trump will announce that he has unearthed divorce papers between the Prez and his wife," Kass tweeted.

The White House has not responded to a request for comment on the matter from BET.com. And odds are high that Republican Mitt Romney, whom Trump has endorsed, will also remain silent.
This isn't the first time rumor of divorce has been floated. Author Ed Klein, in The Amateur, wrote of "dark days" when the Obamas contemplated divorce  in 2000, which the White House called a fabrication.
And even if it were true, who cares? Trump, who is on his third wife, knows better than most that people get divorced and that the mere contemplation of it doesn't sink careers.
