Kesha Sues Dr. Luke for Sexual Assault and Battery

"Tik Tok" singer says producer abused her for years.

Pop singer Kesha has sued super producer and longtime collaborator Dr. Luke, accusing him of sexual assault and battery. Luke, who founded Kesha's record label, Kemosabe Records, claims that she is lying and is ultimately trying to get out of her ironclad recording contract.

According to TMZ, she's alleging that Luke, 41, made her use drugs and forced himself on her sexually for years, beginning when he first signed her at 18. Kesha, 27, claims that the producer gave her a substance called "sober pills" after forcing her to drink with him. She says that the next morning, she woke up naked in Luke's bed, sore and unaware of what happened the night before.

The suit also alleges that Kesha, who recently returned from rehab after battling an eating disorder, was verbally abused by Luke, who repeatedly insulted her physical appearance, contributing to her struggle with her body image.

Soon after word got out of Kesha's legal actions against the producer, Luke responded with a lawsuit of his own, claiming that the singer's claims are all false and that she is ultimately trying to extort him. Filing mere hours after Kesha, Luke, who's produced hits for P!nk, Rihanna, Juicy J and Nicki Minaj, believes that she and her mother fabricated the abuse allegations as a way to cut business ties.
