Etta James Taken to Hospital

The "At Last" and "Tell Mama" blues singer Etta James was taken to the hospital on Tuesday with her husband and sons by her side.

Etta James has reportedly been taken to the hospital with her husband and sons by her side.

The "At Last" and "Tell Mama" blues singer’s health has been fading in recent years, and just last week her live-in physician asked for prayers for the singer whose leukemia was declared incurable three weeks ago.

James, known for her witty personality and raspy voice, formed her first doo wop group at age 14. Just eight years later, she signed to Chess Records and had her first top 10 hit, “All I Could Do Is Cry.”

She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 and received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in 2003.

The 73-year-old also suffers from dementia and kidney failure.

On Monday, her family reached a deal in managing her $1 million estate and medical care.
