'This Is Why I March' – A Heartbreaking Post From Humans of NY Has People on Both Sides of Abortion Rights Outraged

Many fear Trump policies have already made this story a reality for too many women.

  1. This week, a photo taken in Argentina by Humans Of New York has caused much debate surrounding the topic of abortion
  2. Immediately after the photo was published, many realized this woman's story exemplifies why legal abortion is necessary
  3. The story of this anonymous woman also represents one of the most important reasons why women marched after Trump's inauguration
  4. One of President Trump's executive orders banned international family planning organizations that receive federal funds from offering abortion education services

    Shortly after taking office, President Trump reinstated a rule that forbid family planning organizations abroad from offering abortion counseling and information. If the organizations choose to offer the services, then they will no longer receive federal funds. 

  5. Men commented on how important it is for women to make their own decisions
  6. Even pro-life voters were moved enough by the story to admit that abortion should not be a government issue
  7. There were some anti-abortion people who said the post only proves that abortions should not be made available to everyone
  8. One woman, who was also a young mother, criticized the subject of the photo for being entitled and lazy
  9. Although the post created much debate, it crucially highlights the harm of unsafe abortions that women worldwide could endure
