We definitely miss Barack Obama being president more than he does. Photos released after he officially left office on January 20 pretty much prove it.
He’s been spotted on vacation in Hawaii, enjoying some watersports, and smiling at the camera as if to say “good riddance” to the unprecedented obstructionism he faced during the eight years he was in office.
More recently, the 44th President was spotted in New York City. He took daughter Malia to see Arthur Miller’s The Price on broadway and from the looks of it, they had a blast. The play’s stars Danny DeVito, Jessica Hecht, and Tony Shalhoub joined the two Obama’s backstage for some humor.
What’s best about the newly released images is that the first Black president looked well-rested, which is good considering he probably got little sleep since 2008.
Twitter reacted to our favorite president’s new-ish look. Check out some of the best responses below.

Show just ended. The Obama's joined the standing ovation and left. Then Mark Ruffalo morphed into the Hulk and destroyed the stage. Awkward.— Sopan Deb (@SopanDeb) February 25, 2017
