Well, it may not be with the Los Angeles Lakers, but it looks like New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul will be playing in LA after all.
The league-owned Hornets agreed to a “deal in principle” to trade the four-time All-Star to the Los Angeles Clippers late Wednesday.
In the tradeoff, the Clippers will send guard Eric Gordon, center Chris Kaman, forward Al-Farouq Aminu and Minnesota's unprotected 2012 first-round pick to the Hornets. The Clippers will also receive two future second-round picks, sources told ESPN.com.
Last week, NBA commissioner David Stern blocked a three-way deal that would have sent Paul to the Lakers in exchange for Lamar Odom, Houston Rockets guards Kevin Martin and Goran Dragic and forward Luis Scola.
