Indiana Pacers small forward Chris Copeland was stabbed and his wife was slashed in a wild New York City nightclub scene early Wednesday morning, the New York Daily News is reporting. Two Atlanta Hawks players, Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha, were also arrested for reportedly trying to prevent police from setting up a crime scene.

According to the Daily News, Copeland and his wife were on their way out of the 1 OAK club shortly before 4 a.m. when an argument broke out and a man stabbed Copeland in the stomach, before slashing the NBA player's wife on the arm and leg. Another woman was reportedly slashed in the abdomen as well. Copeland and his wife are listed in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital. Shezoy Bleary, 22, was arrested for the attacks.

Cops arrested Antic and Sefolosha for "obstructing governmental administration," according to the Daily News.

Copeland was in New York City because the Pacers are scheduled to play the New York Knicks on Wednesday night. Copeland is also a former Knicks player. The Hawks are in town because they're facing the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday. Copeland is averaging 6.2 points per game for the Pacers this season.
