Indiana Pacers fans aren't playing fair.
When Matt Barnes and the Memphis Grizzlies came to town Thursday night, a healthy portion of Pacers fans decided to shower the Grizzlies forward with chants of "Derek Fisher." They were referencing Barnes attacking Fisher earlier this month because the New York Knicks' coach was visiting his ex-wife, Gloria Govan.
Although you could hear the chant faintly in this clip from Sports Illustrated, it grew as the game progressed.
Barnes had the last laugh, though, as the Grizzlies wound up defeating the Pacers 112-103.
We wonder if this "Derek Fisher" chant will follow Barnes wherever the Grizzlies travel to on the road, though.
Imagine the reaction he'll get when the Grizzlies face Fisher and the Knicks at Madison Square Garden on February 5.
