Ronda Rousey has been hospitalized after the brutal knock out from Holly Holm during UFC 193 in Australia, TMZ reports.

The champ suffered a blow to the neck and fell straight to the ground. Medical personnelimmediately crowded the octagon after noticing her visible discomfort. Rousey even skipped the post-fight interviews to seek treatment.

She was "transported to the hospital for precautionary purposes," a UFC rep said.

Holm shocked the world by becoming the new Women’s Bantamweight Champion by taking down Rousey less than a minute into the second round, making what some are calling the biggest upset in MMA history for ending Rousey’s undefeated streak and also becoming the first athlete to hold both the boxing World Championship and the UFC title.

The extent of Rousey's injuries are not yet known.
