    Yes, you read that correctly. Grammy-nominated singer Tamar Braxton has her own official day! Though the songstress hails from Maryland, the state of Arkansas awarded her for all of her accomplishments by creating her own day! Arkansas announced that April 2 would be Tamar Braxton Day. What's more poppin' than that?

    Though it may already be a known fact that Tamar Braxton was in a singing group with her sisters, it's important to note that it all started in the church! Tamar Braxton's voice was first heard in her church's choir when she was a young girl.

    Tamar Braxton hasn't only performed with her sisters, she's also lent her vocals to assist as a background singer for a popular celebrity. You may be thinking it's her sister Toni Braxton, but no. We're talking about the iconic Lady Gaga! Tamar Braxton was a background singer on Lady Gaga's "Born This Way"!

    Tamar Braxton's vocal range is one that not many people possess. She has a five-octave coloratura soprano vocal range. Meaning she can hit all the same high notes as Ms. Mariah Carey!

    In 2011, Tamar Braxton co-hosted VH1's Save the Music Foundation charity event. This event aims to restore music education in public school systems as well as helping children excel in academic and personal life.

    While singing background vocals for her sister Toni Braxton, the legendary Whitney Houston complimented Tamar's voice. Tamar recalls Whitney saying, "Your voice is amazing! You’re going to be a star." Tamar definitely brought Whitney's words into existence, as she has grown into the star she is today.

    When she's not in front of the camera, Tamar Braxton is busy being a business woman behind the scenes. She's an entrepreneur in so many ways. She's owned her own clothing line as well as a separate shoe collection. Above being a mom and entertainer, this woman can work! She's an ultimate girl boss.

    Tamar Braxton's career is the perfect example of God's time. In 2000, Tamar embarked on her solo career and separated from The Braxtons with her sisters. She released a self-titled album and, though it did not produce much success for her, she kept working. 13 years later, she released her second solo album, Love and War, and it was a hit! In this time, she also acquired hosting gigs and her accomplishments are growing!
