On Tuesday (Sept. 10), Serena Williams debuted her S by Serena Autumn/Winter 2019 collection during New York Fashion Week, and it was everything we needed!
Inviting onlookers' eyes to dance with anticipation of the warmer seasons to come, fashions made of sequin shimmered and shined as it sashayed down the runway, while brightly colored dresses, two-pieces and jumpsuits hugged the curves of runway models.
"It's really important for me to be all-inclusive. I really love the word inclusivity and not exclusivity — I think that's just better,” Serena said backstage to Glamour. "I think it's so important for everyone to feel like they can see an outfit and think, ‘Oh, that looks like me and I feel good in it.’ It doesn't matter what color they are."
In support of the tennis star turned style visionary, fashion insiders filled the event along with celebrity attendees, including La La Anthony, Kim Kardashian West, Rico Nasty, Ashley Graham, Dascha Polanco and Serena's husband, Alexis Ohanian, who watched each design intently.
After debuting her new collection filled with patterns and high-quality materials, Serena proudly emerged from backstage like the supermom — thanks to her special guest!
Dressed in matching black-and-white attire, Serena walked the catwalk with her lovable 2-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia, who shyly adorned her mother's hip.
Now that's an adorable grand finale!
Overall, the “see now buy now” collection seemed well received by the star-studded audience, and fans are already shopping the entire runway on SerenaWilliams.com.
Did we mention, according to Serena's Instagram post above, the runway looks will only be available for 48 hours? We know. We will let you get started!
