Major Lazer in Jamaica 2010


Philly-based DJ Diplo, born Thomas Pentz, is a producer and songwriter who co-produced M.I.A.'s 2007 Grammy-nominated single "Paper Planes." With U.K.-based DJ Switch, the pair created Major Lazer and released their first album, Guns Don't Kill People...Lazers Do, in 2009. Diplo has three solo albums and has produced over 15 mixtapes. In 2011, he was nominated at the BET Hip Hop Awards for Track of the Year for the Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Busta Rhymes single "Look at Me Now."
