Dwight Howard

Dwight Howard is a professional basketball player who joined the Los Angeles Lakers in 2012. Previously, he had been on the Orlando Magic. At 6' 11", he plays center and power forward. He ranks among the league's top shot blockers and rebounders, winning Defensive Player of the Year awards and All-Star honors. He led the Magic to three division titles and one conference title. In 2008, he won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest and a gold medal as the starting center for Team USA. Drafted into the NBA in 2004 from his high school, Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy, Howard is outspoken about his Christian faith.
