Oscars 2022: Regina Hall Reveals Hosting Advice She Received From Whoopi Goldberg

“The thing with Whoopi is she's so generous,” the celebrated actress shared.

Regina Hall is co-hosting this year’s Academy Awards and is sharing the advice that she received from iconic Oscars host and EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg.

For the 2022 show, Hall will be taking the stage along co-hosts Wanda Sykes and Amy Schumer on Sunday (Mar. 27).

“The thing with Whoopi is she's so generous... The biggest thing [she said] was to have fun and celebrate why you're there,” Hall said speaking to Entertainment Tonight, adding that Goldberg has hosted the show four times.

“Celebrate the nominees, the movies, the films, and keep the show moving, which I know people obviously want, you know? She really wanted me to have a lot of fun with it on stage.”

This year’s show is incredibly important with three women hosting the show to close out Women’s History Month.

“It's historical,” Hall said. “It's a fun time, and it's also interesting to see how great their minds are, you know? How they think, watching them work, it's kinda like fitting a puzzle together but with millions of people watching.”
