Inglewood Rapper China Walker Dies After 2-Year Private Battle With Ovarian Cancer

China, half of the hip-hop duo Cam & China, kept her illness private for two years as the pair continued making waves in music and on popular platforms.

China Walker, one half of the twin rap duo Cam & China, has passed away. 

According to VIBE, China’s identical sister and group member, Cam, took to Instagram to share the news about the passing. 

She confirms in the post that China was silently battling aggressive ovarian cancer for the past two years. 

“Most don’t know, China has been fighting a rare aggressive Ovarian Cancer for 2 years,” Cam wrote in her post.

“Tonight, she transitioned and is now resting peacefully. Give me time to grieve in peace, but know she loved all our supporters.”

She continued, encouraging her followers to make sure to check in on their loved ones. 

“Check on yo people,” she wrote. 

“You never know what they are going thru until it’s too late.”

The duo hails from Inglewood, California, and generated buzz after releasing their 2016 self-titled EP, “Cam & China.” 

They continued to reach success after being mentioned in Rolling Stone for their record, “City 2 City,” which was featured on the HBO Max series, “Rap Sh!t,” mixtape. 

The rising stars also made an appearance on the popular series,“On The Radar.”
