Usher Lands Star on Walk of Fame, Chris Brown and More Congratulate Him

This feels long overdue.

Usher hit a new career milestone today.

The singer, who has been a permanent fixture in the music scene since releasing his first album at the age of 15, has been awarded an official star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California.

The ceremony took place earlier today (September 7) and the R&B singer-turned-actor was all smiles, with many agreeing this coveted honor was long overdue.

Wearing many hats throughout his career, Usher has had a hand in acting, singing, songwriting and dancing, recently telling Variety that, “My idea of artistry has always been: try everything until you find out what works.”

Clearly his open-minded creativity, mixed with his multifaceted talents, is working in his favor, with the 37-year-old far from retirement.

We’re sure more messages of congratulations will be sent Usher’s way as the word gets out, but in the meantime, check out some of his friends, including Chris Brown and Ludacris, showing the singer love in the posts below.

Congrats, Usher!
