Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s Divorce Drama Won’t Cancel Christmas
In spite of her divorce circumstances, Kandi Burruss still plans on having a joyful Christmas with her family.
“Y’all already know I’m going through a divorce, but we have decided that we are still going to do Christmas together,” Burruss shared on the Monday, December 15, episode of her Amazon Live broadcast. “Even though we have all this mess going on right now, we [are] still gonna do it together for our kids, so we are spending Christmas in New York.”
Burruss showed off stocking stuffers and asked viewers for their advice on what to do for the holidays. “Does anybody have any suggestions of something fun to do while the kids are here?” she asked. “They are super excited.”
Burruss confirmed that she filed for divorce from Todd Tucker on Nov. 21 after 11 years of marriage, and she previously told People the decision came “after deep thought and a lot of prayer” and that her focus is “protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”
Despite the split, Burruss intends to remain respectable and amicable with Tucker. She pushed back after fans read too much into a family photo taken during Thanksgiving that didn’t include Tucker. Burruss explained in comments that Tucker had “come earlier to eat with us but he wasn’t there for the pic,” calling out assumptions that he was intentionally excluded.
Burruss emphasized privacy and protecting the kids amid their legal filings. She reportedly asked the court to seal parts of the divorce to shield details from going public. She told the Amazon Live viewers, “All the times you’ve been seeing me online [all smiles] means nothing. I’ve been going through it.”
