Trump's Joke of an Explanation for Encouraging Police Brutality Didn't Go Over Well With Zendaya or Anyone
After President Trump seemingly advocated for police brutality while speaking with a group of New York officers, his press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, said the president was joking.
“I believe he was making a joke at the time,” Sanders told reporters during a press briefing when asked about the controversial remark.
Although Sanders said the president's comment was made in jest, popular actress Zendaya believes police brutality is no laughing matter.
On Twitter, Zendaya retweeted an ABC News article about Sanders's claim along with the caption, "It's not funny."
Zendaya, who, in the past, has never stopped herself from offering lengthy and eloquent responses to racism and bigotry, kept her remarks simple, because police brutality is just not funny.
