'Hamilton' Star Lin-Manuel Miranda Has Some Bars For President Obama

It all went down in the Rose Garden.

Barack Obama is undoubtedly the most hip hop president in history. He recently told SXSW attendees he loves J. Cole, explained to Kanye West how he needs to produce songs on Nas’ next album and invited Kendrick Lamar to the White House amongst praise for the artist’s music and community outreach.

Now, the outgoing president is becoming part of the music as he recently joined Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda in the Rose Garden for a freestyle. During the nearly 2-minute video posted to Twitter by the White House’s official account, Miranda covers everything from The Constitution to NASA over a drummer’s beat. He finished the freestyle with approval from the President.

"Opportunity knocks and I can't stop / I'm here with the president and my pops / And yo the mic drops," he rapped. Obama then laughed and asked, "Do you think that's going viral?" Seeing how it has more than 30,000 likes and 23,000 retweets, the answer is probably “yes.”
