Pusha T Opens Up About Rift With Ye While Promoting Clipse Reunion Album
Pusha T shares an update on his friendship with Ye…or lack thereof.
The rapper dropped his album “Let God Sort Em Out” with fellow Clipse group member, Malice, and went on Apple Music to promote the reunion album with Ebro Danden from Hot 97.
During the interview, the Virginia Beach native opened up about his fallout with his frequent collaborator.
“I feel like me and Ye, we don’t gel,” he began telling Danden.
“Where I am right now in my life, I’m not with anybody who ain’t on my team especially when I’ve been on your team. He champions and stands next to anybody and everybody who don’t f**k with me. I don’t get that. I don’t understand that.”
The 48-year-old shares how he’s confused on Ye’s shift, expressing how the music they made together when they were on good terms “slapped.”
“Why would you ever say anything negative about the music we created when you know it slaps?” he questioned.
“For whatever reason, he has an issue. I don’t care what his issue is.”
In an interview earlier this year with the New York Times Popcast, the former G.O.O.D. Music president gets asked if he regrets moments where he may not have spoken up to Ye, to which the rapper shares he doesn’t recall ever “holding his tongue.”
“I always spoke to everything but, you know, I spoke to it and when I spoke to it, what you do with that information or what you do in taking advice or perspective from me, that’s what you do,” he shared.
“I don’t regret any of it. We made great music. It was a great time.”
