Sheryl Lee Ralph Responds To Haters That She Was Lip-Syncing 'Lift Every Voice and Sing' At The Super Bowl

The Emmy winner delivered an incredible performance.

At last night’s Super Bowl, Emmy winner  Sheryl Lee Ralph delivered an outstanding performance of "Lift Every Voice and Sing," which was deemed  the Black National Anthem in 1919 by the NAACP, at the Super Bowl. However, some haters are claiming she was lip syncing.

When asked by The Hollywood Reporter about the lip synch chatter online, Ralph responded with, “Does it matter? Does it matter? No. Thank you.”

While she didn’t confirm if she was lip syncing or not, most performers do lip sync at the Super Bowl, the NFL sometimes requires a pre-recording to avoid any unforeseen technical difficulties.

Not only was it a phenomenal night for Ralph, it was a great night for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35, their  second Super Bowl win in four years.
