Lil Durk Has Returned To Instagram

He deleted his account following King Von’s death.

Lil Durk has returned to Instagram after deleting the platform following the death of his artist, and close friend, King Von.

HotNewHipHop reports that the rapper is now back after stepping away from IG after sharing a tribute post to King Von. 

Durk seemingly found out about King Von’s passing while on Instagram Live previewing a new song that he had recorded.

King Von was shot and killed outside of an Atlanta nightclub on Nov. 6 following a confrontation  with a group of people allegedly including rapper Quando Rondo. Timothy Leeks, 22, has been charged with  King Von’s murder. 

At the time of his death, King Von had just released his debut album, Welcome to O’Block. 

King Von's family and team posted a heartfelt message on the rapper's Instagram account. They thanked everyone for their support of the rapper. They also revealed plans to release more of his music.

“Thank you to everyone who has shown their outpouring of love for King Von,” the statement reads. “You all played a massive role in Von’s accomplishments, and by continuing to play his music and sharing your stories about how he has inspired and influenced you all, you’re keeping his legacy alive.”

“To celebrate Von’s artistry, vision, and the immense love that he had for his fans, we will be continuing his rollout of Welcome to O’Block, while working to share unreleased music and interviews that he devoted his creativity to completing,” the statement continues. “Von had been working on new endeavors that we will be announcing down the line. Love, Von’s family & team.”
