Louisiana Valedictorian Secures Nearly $3.4M in Scholarships

A high school senior from Louisiana garners national attention after being named valedictorian and receiving scholarship offers totaling nearly $3.4 million.

Zoe Bell, a senior at Louisiana Virtual Charter Academy, has been named valedictorian of her class. She graduated with an impressive 4.3 GPA, and according to reports, her academic excellence has earned her nearly $3.4 million in scholarship offers.

Beyond her scholastic achievements, Bell has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and civic engagement. She served as a Senate Page Intern in Washington, D.C., gaining firsthand experience in the legislative process. For two years, she was Vice President of Leadership Development for Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) Louisiana at both local and state levels. 

Nicholas Johnson is Princeton's first Black Valedictorian.

Among the numerous scholarships offered to her, Bell was awarded the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke and the Gates. She chose the Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship because its support extends through law school.

Bell plans to attend New York University, where she has been accepted into the esteemed Gallatin School of Individualized Study, allowing her to tailor her academic pursuits to her interests.
