21 Savage Fans Are Being Roasted On Twitter For This Lofty Claim
Atlanta-bred rapper and occasional philanthropist 21 Savage blessed his fans with a dope banger since his 2017 debut LP, Issa Album. This Friday (Nov. 2), famed trap producer Metro Boomin' and 21 teamed up for "Don't Come Out The House," off Metro's latest album, NOT ALL HEROES WEAR CAPES.
21 surprised fans when he opened his verse with whispering, in the trend of ASMR: autonomous sensory meridian response. Cardi B recently hopped onto the bandwagon with her ASMR interview that sent fans into a frenzy, but true hip-hop heads are rolling their eyes in disbelief over many neophytes alluding that 21 "invented whisper rap."
In utter incredulity, true scholars of the game reminded the youngins about the true origin of whisper rap
ATL legends Ying Yang Twins debuted in 2000. They made timeless songs with Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz like "Salt Shaker" and "Get Low," but it's their solo 2005 club hit, "Wait (The Whisper Song)," solidified their spot in hip-hop history.
