Nelly Celebrates Ashanti’s Birthday With a Romantic Message About Their Journey Together
Ashanti just celebrated her birthday, and her husband, Nelly, couldn’t let the day pass without sharing a heartfelt message.
The duo collaborated on a post on Monday (October 13) of an old photo of the two on the beach, with the “Hot In Here” rapper captioning, “Happy Birthday to the most beautiful and amazing woman in this world.”
He continued, writing, “Marrying you wasn’t just finding love — it was finding home. Love you mama.”
The duo tied the knot in December 2023 and have since birthed their first child together, known as Kareem Kenkaide KK Haynes.
The “Foolish” singer shared how she would love to have more with the St. Louis native, according to a report by BET.com.
“We’re going to add some more,” she teased, hinting at her hopes for a baby girl.
“Definitely a girl to balance it out. I’m outnumbered in the house right now. So, a girl would be great.”
While celebrating the “Air Force Ones” birthday last year at his 50th celebration bash in Vegas, BET.com also reported why the “Only U” singer feels he is her soulmate.
“It's priceless, honestly, just to have my soulmate, like my person, like my best friend, like my protector,” she exclaimed, mentioning how the universe “doesn’t make mistakes.”
“I don't tell him all the time, but I've learned a lot about… just being grateful, graceful, and giving people grace. Being open minded and level headed and not too emotional.”
The “Country Grammar” artist added, “She’s a great person, she’s a great mother. Even when it comes to doing this, having birthday parties and things like that. So to have that person with you, it's like, ‘yeah, that's it.’”
