Valerie Fairman, best known for starring in the reality series 16 and Pregnant, has died of what is being said to be an overdose. She was 23. She starred in the second season of '16 and Pregnant'
Valerie made her introduction during episode three of the second season of 16 and Pregnant. It was then that we met her, her baby's father, Matt, and her 10 adoptive brothers and sisters on the show.
She had a 7-year-old daughter
She had a 7-year-old daughter, Nevaeh — "Heaven" spelled backwards — but their relationship was strained as, according to her ex, she never saw her. He said during an interview in 2015 that her ex, Matt, is a really good dad and wants to try for full custody, but wants to do so when things are "perfect." Nevaeh is currently living with Valerie's mother.

She had a history of substance abuse and arrests
Throughout her adult life, Valerie has struggled with staying out of trouble with the law, as she racked up a slew of arrests by the time of her death. She was arrested back in 2015 for prostitution. Her most recent arrest was December 15, for resisting arrest and providing a false ID. She attempted to run from the police, but they eventually caught and restrained her. She was out on bail at the time of her death.
She died in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, after being found unresponsive by her friend
Valerie died on Wednesday while at a friend's house in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. She was in the bathroom and was not responding to her friend's calls. After the friend broke the door down, she found her unresponsive. Toxicology tests are currently in progress, but it is believed that she suffered from a drug overdose.

During her stint on 16 and Pregnant, her struggle with being a young mother wasn't her only storyline. Her battle with substance abuse also played a large part in her appearance on the show.
