During an interview on Sirius XM, CNN's Chris Cuomo made a daring statement comparing being called 'fake news' with being called the N-word
During the interview on the POTUS radio show, the New Day co-anchor spoke about being called out by Donald Trump for an interview with Senator Dick Blumenthal. Although the president tweeted that Cuomo never asked about the senator's military record, footage proved he did. Cuomo then spoke on what it felt like to be labeled fake news.
“The only thing that’s bothersome about it is that I see being called ‘fake news’ as the equivalent of the n-word for journalists, the equivalent of calling an Italian any of the ugly words that people have for that ethnicity,” Cuomo said. “That’s what fake news is to a journalist.”
