Theophilus London Gets Into the ’70s Groove for Blackbook
Brooklyn MC Theophilus London has a unique sound and distinctive style to boot, as shown off in this month’s Blackbook magazine.
The Trinidad-born rapper with a knack for vintage-laced hipster fashion was snapped in fall '70s-inspired threads for the magazine. The story was photographed by Cameron Krone and styled by Christopher Campbell.
Fur coats by Burberry Prosum and Band of Outsiders London are layered with Dior Homme and Salvatore Ferragamo turtlenecks over rock-star-style Gucci and Bottega Veneta pants, and there are plenty of accessories to match. Dior Homme, Salvatore Ferragamo and Stetson hats, Parasol shades and loads of chains and watches really help him get into the groove for this eclectic spread.
London, who’s represented by Next Models, is also posing for GQ this month, showing off a more preppy spin on his style for a fall camel-colored topcoat feature. He’s a men’s muse worth keeping an eye on, especially since he’s dipping his feet into design. In September the rapper teamed up with Cole Haan to create a limited edition Theophilus Blue Suede Buck shoe.
