Diggy Simmons has graduated from Run’s House into starring in his very own television pilot film.

The rapper will star in Untitled Diggy Simmons Project, a two-hour pilot and new original movie that will take an edgy look at Simmons’ life as a blogger and his group of friends that support him during his rise to the top.

The BET film, directed by Salim Akil, will star Diggy Simmons (aka Daniel Dwayne Simmons) as Blake, Teyana Taylor as Tiana, Bria Murphy (daughter of Eddie Murphy) as Nia, and Allen Maldonado as Manuel.

Diggy Simmons and Kevin Liles are co-executive producers of the project. Untitled Diggy Simmons will be executive produced by Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil, and marks the second original movie from Akil Productions for BET. Their first, Being Mary Jane, starring Gabrielle Union, is set to premiere on the network next year.
