Jay-Z knows a thing or two about style. The rapper is currently gracing the cover of T: The New York Times Style Magazine's men's fall fashion issue during New York Fashion Week and inside talks about his career, fatherhood, rap culture and the Occupy Wall Street Movement he received so much flack over. Despite the controversy surrounding Rocawear's "Occupy All Streets" shirts, Jay-Z said he never supported or even understood the movement.
"I'm not going to a park and picnic, I have no idea what to do, I don't know what the fight is about," Jay-Z said he told Russell Simmons, who does support the movement.
Jay-Z, who appeared once again in Forbes' latest list of Hip Hop Cash Kings with a $38 million income, even disagreed with OWS's general slamming of the wealthy.
"When you just say that 'the 1 percent is that,' that’s not true," Jay-Z said. "Yeah, the 1 percent that's robbing people, and deceiving people, these fixed mortgages and all these things, and then taking their home away from them, that's criminal, that's bad. Not being an entrepreneur. This is free enterprise. This is what America is built on."
