During his most recent interview on The Breakfast Club, Offset revealed that he hasn’t seen his father since he was four years old and hadn’t even spoke with him over the phone since 2016. At the time, he made it clear that he was open to reuniting.

As for what separated them, the son says his dad wouldn't return to his life, even after his success, due to pride. “It just started to make me upset. I've reached out and you've slapped my hand. You slapped my hand when it wasn't even out,” he explained during the interview. “You didn't even come back to put anything in my hand. So now I feel like you don't have any respect for me. You’re still running and you don't have to.”

Also during the interview, Offset also described his lean addiction and the Cardi B cheating scandal. It seems that he may have realized that, like all humans, he isn’t perfect and whatever happened between him and his father, everyone deserves a second chance.
