YK Osiris Addresses Health Scare After Severe Allergic Reaction
YK Osiris sparked concern online last week but has since reassured fans that he’s doing better.
On Friday (July 4), the artist shared a photo on his Instagram Story showing his face visibly swollen and puffy-eyed, captioned, “Mannn, I’m going through it.”
Fans quickly flooded social media with speculation and questions, but Osiris followed up with another photo showing his face back to normal, this time captioned, “Back to better.”
He later released a video confirming he’d suffered an allergic reaction.
“Allergic reaction,” the singer began. “It went down though, but it was an allergic reaction. I don’t know what I ate, but that sh*t f*ked me up bad.”
With the health scare behind him, Osiris might be shifting his focus back to music. Earlier this year, he was seen in the studio with Grammy-winning producer Troy Taylor.
In the clip, Taylor explained what Osiris—and artists in general—need to succeed in today’s music industry, saying that the game has moved away from valuing “potential, talent, and popularity,” and now prioritizes “consistency, development, and focus.”
Osiris also opened up during a livestream with Twitch streamer Lil Rodney, admitting he felt nervous about releasing new music for fear of humiliation.
Lil Rodney offered some words of encouragement:
“Put it like this, right—we’re in a world where everybody else don’t give a f*ck, so you can’t. If you care about what everybody else says, you’re gonna always beat yourself up ’cause you’ll never be good enough for the next person’s standard.”
