Jada Pinkett Smith Affirms Forever Bond with Will Smith

“You just learn how to embrace the light of people as well as the shadow,” the actress said.

Jada Pinkett Smith recently made a heartfelt declaration on "The Drew Barrymore Show," asserting that she and Will Smith are bound together forever.

Despite their temporary separation in 2016, the 52-year-old actress reflected on their journey and the evolving nature of their relationship.

In the interview, Drew Barrymore noted the deep connection between the couple.

Pinkett Smith affirmed, "We're staying together forever," emphasizing the resilience of their commitment.

The "Set It Off" star continued, "I think that one of those next stages in relationships is when you really learn how to accept yourself fully, you really learn how to accept your partner fully as well. That's been a journey all in itself."

Pinkett Smith's journey of self-realization, as chronicled in her memoir, "Worthy," has deepened her appreciation for Smith. She expressed the importance of embracing both the light and shadow aspects of individuals, citing her newfound acceptance of herself, Will, and even Chris Rock after the incident with Smith at the 2022 Academy Awards.

"You just learn how to embrace the light of people as well as the shadow. I love Will as who he is. I've learned to love and embrace Chris as who he is. And myself as well. And that's what it's about. We're all here just trying to figure it out."

When she sat down on CBS Mornings earlier this month, the actress said the 2022 Oscars incident, where Smith defended her honor by confronting Chris Rock, played a role in strengthening their bond.

Following their temporary separation, Pinkett Smith starred in the 2017 comedy "Girls Trip," featuring a stellar ensemble cast including Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish, and Regina Hall. The film, marked by spontaneous improvisation, grossed over $100 million, prompting speculation about a potential sequel.

Addressing the prospect of "Girls Trip 2" during her interview with Barrymore, Pinkett Smith expressed openness to the idea. While nothing is confirmed, she acknowledged ongoing discussions.

She said, "I mean, look, they keep talking about it, so we'll see. It would be lovely to do."
