Pat and Denise are gearing up for the premiere of the X-rated film Pat accidentally starred in, Magic Milfshake. If you remember, last season Pat was tricked into filming the adult movie. Once she realized what was happening, she didn’t actually go through with intercourse, but she still ended up in some pretty raunchy scenes. Now the premiere is in Hollywood, which means the night is guaranteed to be chaotic.

Meanwhile, back at college, Janelle learns that her roommate’s friend, Nicki, is dating Professor DeWalt — the same professor Janelle has been secretly seeing. To make matters worse, she discovers that he used the exact same lines and moves on both of them. Janelle and her roommate know the truth about her relationship with him, but they sit there and let Nicki gush about their dates and intimate moments. It’s painful to watch. Janelle is crushed, though we all saw this coming. Nothing good ever comes from a professor dating his students. The situation is even more devastating because Professor DeWalt took Janelle’s virginity.

Things spiral further when Janelle runs a “hypothetical” scenario by Junebug. Not realizing he’s giving real advice, he suggests that the person in that situation should crash out on the cheater. Unfortunately, Janelle takes that to heart.

Back in Hollywood, premiere night arrives, and Pat is dressed to the nines — but beneath the glam, she’s deeply insecure. Her anxiety explains her sour mood. Things take an unexpected turn when she gets stuck in an elevator with Kareem, who flew to Los Angeles to hang out with Denise. In the confined space, Kareem gives Pat a heartfelt pep talk. Having experienced his own rise to fame, he understands imposter syndrome and reminds her how far she’s come.

While they’re trapped, Denise is scrambling. Director Siddiq is looking for Pat for photos, and Denise pretends she knows exactly where she is. It’s a bold lie, but thankfully it doesn’t blow up. Pat and Kareem eventually get unstuck, and Pat makes it to the red carpet for her big moment.

Then comes Janelle’s crash out. She attempts to confront Professor DeWalt in the middle of class, which goes exactly as you’d expect. He refuses to engage, but Janelle punches him in the face anyway. When Nicki rushes to check on him, Janelle snatches off her wig, knocks items off the professor’s desk, and storms out of the classroom. For context, this all happens in a Black Women’s Literature class. The fallout is clearly coming next episode.

Elsewhere, Terry and Brandon visit Terry’s Aunt Yolanda at her senior care facility. She’s focused on an upcoming talent show and brings her usual zany energy. Terry and Brandon support her during a performance that means a lot to her, but Terry has another reason for the visit. He wants answers about his father. Although Aunt Yolanda says talking about Terry’s dad is painful, she gives him a baby photo he’s never seen before — one of his father holding him as an infant. Terry is moved to tears. Still, it’s clear Aunt Yolanda is holding something back about the truth surrounding his father. Whatever that secret is, it will have to wait for another episode.
