The Evolution of Cardi B's Glow Up

Through the years Cardi B. has been on a major come up. Here's a brief timeline of her rise to the top.
  1. The Hustle Begins

    Cardi B started her hustle as a cashier at the Amish Market in TriBeCa. In an interview with Fader, Cardi told the magazine that when she was fired from that job, her boss suggested that she should go across the street and become a stripper. She took his advice and did just that.

  2. Nanny B?

     At the age of 19, Cardi B dropped out of community college and turned to stripping as a main source of income. At the time, she was telling her family that she was a nanny.


    By the age of 22, Cardi was making serious stacks as a stripper at high end clubs. However, she knew that wouldn’t be her end goal. At the age of 23, she decided to give up stripping.

  4. Instafamous

    At age 23, Cardi B took Instagram by storm. Her videos of her speaking her mind on taboo topics and shamelessly speaking about her experiences went viral. Did we mention she’s a feminist?

  5. Love and Hip Hop: New York

    In 2016, Cardi B joined the cast of the popular Reality TV show Love and Hip Hop.

  6. Out for the count

    December 29, 2016: Cardi B announced that she would be leaving Love and Hip Hop: New York to focus on her rap career and other projects.

  7. respect her gangsta

    March 7, 2016: Cardi dropped her first mixtape: Gangsta B***h Music, Vol. 1.

  8. New teeth, who dis?

    May 28, 2016: Cardi B showed off her new dental reconstruction and commences to the next level of glowing up!


  9. High Class

    On August 22, 2016, Cardi B took the world by surprise in a high-end fashion shoot for Fashion Bomb Daily.

    January 20, 2017: Cardi B dropped her second mixtape, Gangsta B***h Music, Vol. 2.
