Soulja Boy Apologizes to Kandi Burruss After Viral Rant

He even accepted her invite to be on the ‘Speak On It’ podcast to clear the air.

Soulja Boy has officially apologized to Kandi Burruss after his viral rant following her interview with his former collaborator.

Last week, the rapper exploded online after Burruss’ “Speak On It” podcast featured Charlie Rocket, a one-time cameraman who shared a story and claimed that Soulja Boy spit in food offered to him in 2007. Rocket claimed he hadn’t eaten in three days, and he asked Soulja Boy if he could eat the leftover room service food Soulja had previously ordered and was done with. Rocket offered context and said at the time, Soulja was “just a kid.”

Soulja denied the claim and responded with an expletive-filled social media tirade and even threatened to sue. Burruss responded by inviting the rapper onto her podcast.

After cooling off and accepting the invite to the show, Soulja issued a public apology. “They said you gon’ need to apologize to Kandi. I'm sending out an apology to Kandi, man, you know what I'm saying?” He said in a video circulating online. “You know I be overreacting sometimes. I just be seeing stuff on the internet … But much love to Kandi, if you could find it in your heart to accept my apology. I just be getting so mad … Folks lying on me and sh*t, but they're like, ‘Man, he should’ve got mad at the dude, you shouldn't got mad at her.’””

Within days, the dispute seemed to de-escalate. Soulja and Burruss were seen smiling together on the set of “Speak On It.” There’s no release date for the interview just yet. But knowing how urgently Kandi moves, it should be soon!
