Promoter: YG Caused Concert Melee in Canada

"Left Right" rapper threw bottles at fans to hide voice issue, could face lawsuit.

YG started the concert fracas that caused a Canadian crowd to litter him with bottles, TMZ reports. A rep for the show promoter claims YG actually launched the first bottle as a way to cover up losing his voice two songs into the show.

Before he pulled the plug, the "Left Right" rapper tried to get the DJ to turn the music up to mask his vocal issues, the promoter alleges. When that didn't work, he resorted to the bottle-tossing act. Just in case that didn't work, the site says YG jumped in the crowd and punched a fan in the face, which eventually got the response he was looking for. The crowd hit him right back with bottles and other objects.

Although there's no proof that he punched a fan, videos shot by audience members captured some of the fracas.

The club now says that it's in fear of losing its license and may sue the Compton rapper.

Meanwhile, YG is still traipsing through Canada. He has a show in Victoria, British Columbia, tonight (Aug. 5).
