Questlove Really, Really Doesn't Want Chrisette Michele to Perform at Trump's Inauguration

He's disappointed in her, to say the least.

Donald Trump's official inauguration is already less than 48 hours away and while some are taking to Twitter to (albeit hopelessly) beg President Obama to stick around a bit longer or air out some more general grievances that the outcome of the election brought us here, others are venting their frustration by focusing on something else: his 'Make America Great Again' concert.

While the concert has been infamously plagued by A-list artists reportedly turning down Trump's offer to perform, his transition team has managed to secure a handful of musicians, such as Toby Keith and 3 Doors Down. However, the latest reported addition to the lineup has seriously disappointed Questlove — so much so that he's willing to take action personally.

As reportedChrisette Michele has officially agreed to perform during Trump's welcoming concert, with the news apparently being kept private for a week due to fear of backlash from fans, similar to how we saw with Jennifer Holliday.

Questlove took to Twitter after getting word that Michele would be performing, sharing his reaction that he really, really doesn't want the singer-songwriter to go through with it.

"I'd pay Chrisette to NOT perform," the Roots drummer shared, reacting to the news. His disappointed emoji also adds to the somber nature of his tweet, with fans quick to second his whimsical counter offer.

The fact that Questlove is willing to pay the singer-songwriter out of his own pocket so she can possibly reconsider accepting the offer truly says it all.
