French Montana Announces Engagement to Sheikha Mahra of Dubai

After her headline-making divorce, the Dubai princess is stepping into a new chapter with the Moroccan-born rapper.

French Montana put a ring on it — he recently announced his engagement to Sheikha Mahra, a princess of Dubai.

TMZ reports a rep from Montana’s camp told the outlet they’ve been engaged since June, when they were spotted at Paris Fashion Week.

The Shade Room received exclusive footage from what seemed to have been their engagement party, with a ‘Welcome French’s Family’ sign’ is shown while set ablaze.

“The couple shared some exclusive footage with The Shade Room of the warm welcome and traditional celebration they received in Morocco,” the outlet wrote.

The couple have been spotted out since 2024 after Mahra divorced her husband, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum.

Last year, Mahra took to Instagram to share with her followers that her marriage had come to an end, Complex reported.

"Dear Husband, as you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce," she wrote.

"I divorce you, I divorce you, and I divorce You. Take Care. Your ex-wife."

It appears Mahra employed a traditional tactic known as a triple repudiation when declaring her divorce from her husband.

Brandeis University explains that a triple repudiation takes place when a husband pronounces three repudiations at once, rather than divorcing his wife once—revocably—and allowing the waiting period to lapse without reconciliation. This method makes the divorce immediate and absolute, creating a permanent bar to remarriage between the couple.

No details about the marriage have been shared, as both parties are keeping things private for now.

Other men are looking to follow in the rapper’s footsteps, as retired NBA player Paul Pierce claimed in July on his “The Truth After Dark” podcast that women in the States do not value their man like women overseas do.

“Man, I’m telling you. Us Black men, I’m telling y’all: we need to follow in French Montana’s steps. You see, he cracking," said Pierce.

“The States women, they don't have the same values as these women overseas. They value their men. They priority is they man first. They not shaking a** on Instagram."
