Tasha K Launches GoFundMe to Help Pay Off Millions Owed to Cardi B

After losing a defamation case to the Bronx rapper, the blogger says she’s sticking to her $20,000 monthly payments but hopes supporters can help speed up the process.

Tasha K is asking the internet for a little financial support. The blogger recently launched a GoFundMe to help chip away at the millions she still owes Cardi B.

If you remember, Cardi took Tasha to court back in 2019 over some things the blogger said about her online. Fast forward to 2022, and a jury sided with the Bronx rapper, awarding her roughly $4 million in damages and legal fees. Now Tasha is turning to her supporters to help lighten that load. On the fundraiser page, she explained that people have been telling her for years to start one, but she initially felt like the situation was hers to handle alone.

“I always refused because I believed it was my responsibility to handle it on my own,” she wrote. “But after many conversations with you all, I’m finally listening.”

The case didn’t just stop at slander claims. Tasha was also found liable for defamation, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress after Cardi accused her of spreading false rumors about her personal life, including allegations about drug use, sexual activity, and STDs. In 2023, Tasha filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in an effort to reorganize her finances. Earlier this year, she and Cardi agreed to a court-approved payment plan that requires Tasha to pay nearly $1.2 million over the next five years.

Under that agreement, the payments start at about $176,000 in the first year and increase to over $318,000 by year five, spread out over monthly installments. After those five years are up, Cardi still has the option to pursue whatever balance remains. According to Tasha, she’s already been making steady payments toward the judgment.

“I’m currently making my court-ordered payments of $20,000 per month from my own income,” she wrote. “And I’ll continue doing that no matter what is raised here.”

She also made it clear that any money donated through GoFundMe will go directly toward reducing the overall balance, with the goal of paying it down faster.
