Lil Wayne Skips Out On Another Festival Gig
While Lil Wayne has ditched performances in the past, his decision to skip out on a gig over this weekend may end up costing him.
The rapper was slated to perform tonight (Nov. 26) in Cuaracao, as part of a end-of-summer themed festival, along with the likes of Meek Mill, Yo Gotti, French Montana, Rick Ross and Fat Joe. Weezy allegedly wasn't feeling it, with TMZ reporting he backed out due to an "alleged breach of contract."
Following news that Wayne would not be performing, representatives for the festival came forward to share that the reason actually was due to his heath, with the rapper allegedly suffering another seizure in Miami on Friday (Nov. 25).
"Contrary to recent reports, Color Events met all contractual obligations for Lil Wayne to perform at the SummerFall concert tonight," a statement from the concert organizers read. "We are still investigating the reason for the last-minute cancellation and have nothing further to comment on except that although we are disappointed Lil Wayne will not be performing, we are excited about the lineup of artists who will be performing tonight."
Meanwhile, Lil Wayne's camp has denied that the reason for the cancellation was medical related.
Hopefully both parties are able settle the matter outside of a courtroom and Wayne's health is not a factor this time.
