Drake Drops New Track, '0 to 100/The Catch Up'

October's Very Own unveils his latest, produced by Noah "40" Shebib and Boi-1da, and announces new albums slated for release in 2015.

Drake never really slows down and he's putting that concept to music with "0 to 100/The Catch Up." Last night (June 1), October's Very Own quietly dropped the new six-minute track produced by Noah "40" Shebib and Boi-1da, which fuses two separate beats into one.

The first instrumental is grittier and more up-tempo, as are Drizzy's verses, which include a declaration that he's officially done "bein' on some chill s--t" and a a bunch of lyrical gloating. He also shares the "valuable lesson" he learned from his childhood. "F--k that, I been ready/since my dad used to tell me he was comin' to the house to get me/He ain't show up/Valuable lesson, man, I had to grow up/That's why I never ask for help/I'll do it for you n----s and do it for myself," spits the 27-year-old rhymer.

About three minutes in, the music become more subdued, and toward the end, Drake announces new projects from himself and the rest of the OVO click, all coming out next year. "Listen up boy you're better off eavesdroppin'," he raps. "We already got spring 2015 poppin'/PND droppin', OB droppin', Majid Jordan droppin', not to mention me droppin'."

He failed to mention a release date, but the timing of a new Drake album for 2015 isn't exactly a huge surprise. The Grammy-winning rapper took roughly the same amount of time in between his 2011 sophomore effort, Take Care, and Nothing Was the Same, released in September 2013.
