Martin Lawrence Inducted Into Hollywood Walk of Fame

The veteran comedian was joined by Steve Harvey and Tracy Morgan.

One week after celebrating his 58th birthday, legendary comedian Martin Lawrence is being honored yet again after being inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On Thursday, April 20, the Martin star received his star on the iconic walkway surrounded by fellow longtime funnymen Steve Harvey and Tracy Morgan.

The Blue Streak star got a bit overwhelmed, telling the crowd, "I've been crying all week so I figured if I had my glasses on today, maybe y'all won't see the tears, but they're most definitely tears of joy."

Lawrence got his footing in the entertainment world doing stand-up in the late 1980s before landing a gig on What's Happening Now. He found breakthrough stardom in 1992 with the launch of his own show, Martin.

Harvey also shared some kind words for his friend, stating, "If this dude don't have a star, they need to take all of them up out the ground, dig all these damn things up." He added, "Ladies and gentlemen, Martin Lawrence is that dude!”

The actor also talked about the upcoming Bad Boys film, Bad Boys 4, with Academy Award winner Will Smith. Lawrence told the outlet, “We’re doing our thing, man. Wait ‘til y’all see it!” He also had some bold predictions for the franchise’s fourth installment, stating, “I think it’s gonna be one of the best, best of them all.” We ain’t stopping.”

Bad Boy 4 is currently in development, and fans could expect it to hit theaters sometime in late 2024 or early 2025.
