This Teen Mom's Story Will Inspire You to Never Give Up

Trameka Pope is valedictorian at her Chicago high school.

Trameka Pope is a cheerleader, an advanced placement scholar and works at a local supermarket in her Chicago neighborhood. She is also the valedictorian of Wendell Phillips High School.
Pope's hard work in school has paid off. Literally. She has been accepted to 26 schools and has received more than $600,000 in scholarships.
Rewind to the summer before her freshman year and Pope may not have even believed this was all possible. She was pregnant, and she and her mother had been homeless.
"I didn't give up. I pushed myself hard. And my baby motivated me every day because I wanted to provide for her and I also didn't want to be a statistic," said in an interview with FOX 32 news in Chicago. "I always said that I wanted to make change and I wanted to be in the history books, and I started with myself."
She plans to attend Western Illinois University in the fall.
