Cardi B Says “We Need a Reset” After Internet Weighs In on Her Family Life
Cardi B was calm and quiet on Christmas while the internet had plenty to say about her decision to have a baby and remain in a relationship with her boyfriend, Stefon Diggs. Because Diggs has other children, his holiday time was split between families—and social media wasn’t feeling it.
On Monday (December 29), while trying to enjoy the holidays with her family before heading back to work, Cardi took a moment to address the comments head-on. Lying in bed in her bonnet, she showed up in her rawest form with a message for everyone, captioned simply: “We need a reset.”
“Y’all been dragging me for three or four days, and y’all been a little too mean,” she laughed. “I can’t change sh*t. I can’t go back in time. I already had a baby. Y’all want me to put my baby back in my pu**y?” she continued. “You want me to leave my man and f**k yours? What y’all want me to do? We can only go forward now.”
As she continued, Cardi shared that the backlash has added to an already stressful moment, with January bringing 10 to 12-hour rehearsals for her “Little Miss Drama” tour. “I’m gonna be away from my babies, away from my personal life, away from home. I need my support system—my fans—to love me,” she said. “I want y’all to come to my tour and enjoy yourselves with me. Don’t be dragging me. That’s enough.”
“Leave me alone, though,” she added. “Damn, y’all scare me sometimes!”
The “Am I The Drama” rapper’s message comes after Diggs shared Christmas photos featuring two different babies, including one captioned, “One of my boys first Christmas.” The posts raised eyebrows online and appeared to support earlier reports that he welcomed children with two other women around the same time Cardi gave birth in November.
