Drake Has A Message For Meek Mill Amid His Prison Sentence

Sound familiar?

At the top of 2017, Drake and Meek Mill’s storied rap beef came to a screeching halt when the OVO boss pledged to toss away any more stage performances of his epic anti-Meek diss track “Back To Back” from there on out.

Even after adding to his post-beef vows just a month later that he’d never befriend Meek again, that doesn’t mean he won’t put their personal differences to the side for a much larger cause, such as a shout-out to Meek amid his severe and controversial 2-4 year prison sentence. Rival or not.

While hitting the stage during his Melbourne, Australia, stop for the Boy Meets World Tour, Drizzy took a moment to mingle with fans in the massive crowd. He noticed one person wearing a “Free Meek Mill” T-shirt, and made sure to not only acknowledge the support for the MMG emcee, but second the fan’s sentiments as well.

“I see you got the ‘Free Meek Mill’ T-shirt,” he said. “Free Meek Mill, too, man. For real. You right.”

The apparel should be particularly familiar to Drake as well, jogging a memory from 2015 when he rocked his own “Free Meek Mill” T-shirt at the annual OVO Fest and during the early stages of their rap controversy. Many fans took it as a petty checkmate move. But others connected it back to 2014, where he first wore the T-shirt in support of the Wins & Losses artist as he struggled through another legal fumble that led to his incarceration.

The world may never quite know where Drizzy really stands with so many clever moves up his sleeve, especially now that the smoke has cleared from the rap rivalry. In the meantime, we’ll just have to take his word for what it is.
