Angela Bassett Brings Brian Tyree Henry To Tears

“I appreciate the work that you do and I hope to be lucky one day to work with you,” the actress said.

Oscar-nominated Angela Bassett brought fellow Oscar nominee Brian Tyree Henry to tears as she filled him up with compliments in a way only the actress knows how to do.

In case you missed it, Bassett and Henry appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and Henry was given the opportunity to ask Bassett a few questions.

“Who do you love more right now: me or James [Corden]?” Henry asked lightheartedly.

To which Bassett responded in a way that Henry was not expecting: “I love what my eyes have laid sight on. And that is a completely brilliant artist whose work I’ve come to admire and to love. I appreciate the work that you do and I hope to be lucky one day to work with you. Your vulnerability and sensitivity and strength and you’re just a badass!”
