Dr. Dre Named Highest Paid Musician of 2012

Dre beats out Jay-Z, the Biebs and Rih Rih for top spot on Forbes list.

Dr. Dre isn't only one of the most sought after musicians in the world, he's also the best compensated. Forbes recently published a list of the highest paid musicians of 2012, and the West Coast rapper, super producer and media mogul sits comfortably in the top spot.
Dre's pay day for the year came in at $110 million, besting second place Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd) by over $20 million. Most of that came from his hit headphones company, Beats by Dr. Dre, which was recently valued at $600 million after being partly sold to Taiwanese mobile electronics manufacturer HTC at the end of last year.
Other artists to make the list include Justin Bieber at No. 10 ($55 million), Rihanna at No. 12 ($53 million), Diddy at No. 15 ($45 million), Beyoncé and Jay-Z at Nos. 18 and 20, respectively ($40 million and $38 million) and Kanye West and Adele tied for No. 22 with $35 million each.
