At the “Femme It Forward Give Her FlowHERS Gala,” Victoria Monét made it clear that Missy is overdue for her bouquet. In an exclusive interview with Digital Avenue, Victoria was asked which Black woman in entertainment she would give flowers to right now, and her response was immediate. “I feel like Missy, you know. We have an artist and producer,” she said eagerly.

Victoria explained why Missy’s impact should be celebrated and why it is still felt today. “Her show is incredible. She's still performing, like, she's in her 20s, and I feel like we haven't given her her moment, like, the tribute show and the, you know, events like this where she can get her flowers.” She highlighted Missy’s lasting influence, noting, “I feel like we just need a few more of those for her, because she's incredible, and she's done so much, and influenced a lot of our childhoods.”

She also called out Missy’s “Out of this World” tour from last year. “And still doing it to this day. If you went to her tour, I believe it was last year. It was incredible. Like, insane.” Victoria’s words capture the electric energy and commanding stage presence Missy delivers every time she performs, showing that her talent and creativity remain as powerful as ever.
